Music mingled with the scent of flowers will fill the Midtown air this month, as the Atlanta Botanical Garden finishes its summer Concerts in the Garden series. Delbert McClinton will appear on August 20th, followed by Johnny Lang on August 27th.
Delbert McClinton has recently released his 13th studio album, Acquired Taste. The Grammy® winning artist and Texas roots music legend will present his blend of country, blues, soul and rock n roll in the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s intimate setting. He is appearing with special guest Heaven Davis.
Johnny Lang, who released his first album when he was just 14, has toured with the Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith, B.B. King, Blues Traveler, Jeff Beck and Sting. He won his first Grammy® for his most recent album, gospel-influenced Turn Around, released in 2006. Also performing on August 27th will be special guest Moreland & Arbuckle.
Tickets for these unforgettable nights in the Garden are just $36.50, or $33 for Atlanta Botanical Garden members. Named “Best Outdoor Concert Series” by Atlanta Magazine, the concerts join a long list of social and educational events occurring regularly at the Garden.
