midtown-festival-of-the-artsThe Midtown Mile is a bustling area, filled with restaurants and shops; but for two days in September, the strip of Peachtree will be transformed as thousands flock for the inaugural Midtown Festival of the Arts.

The festival runs Sept. 25th and 26th, allowing visitors to experience beautiful works of art from local artists and sample delectable cuisine from local chefs. There will be performances, film screenings and even a traditional beer garden. The festival celebrates every type of art and there is sure to be something for the whole family.

Runners can kick off Saturday morning with a one-mile road race from Colony Square to the Fox Theatre, getting to see the venues for the festivities along the way. Children will love the activities geared specifically to them, courtesy of the Atlanta History Center and Margaret Mitchell House. The Artist Market will feature more than 100 outstanding artists and the neighboring Culinary Stage will showcase exciting chef demonstrations.
