Fall is here and the Atlanta Botanical Garden is celebrating in a big way. If pumpkins are your favorite fruit (and even if they’re a close second), don’t miss these great events:
Scarecrows in the Garden: Oc.t 1 – Oct. 30. Atlanta’s favorite fall tradition is back! Visitors to the Atlanta Botanical Garden will find more than 100 scarecrows that have been hand-crafted by individuals, schools, businesses and other organizations. Bring your kids to this unique art exhibit and enjoy a variety of fall crafts and games in the Children’s Garden on weekends. These activities are available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are free with your Garden admission.
Fest-of-Ale: Every Thursday in October from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., adults can celebrate the season with live music and a collection of fine brews. Enjoy Fort Collins Chocolate Stout, New Belgium Brewing Hoptober Golden Ale, Full Sail Session Fest Lager and others!
Goblins in the Garden: Bring the little ones to the Garden on Oct. 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for this fun Halloween event. There will be a costume parade, games, train rides, pony rides, storytelling, crafts, pumpkin decorating and more.
Pumpkin Carving Contest: Come out on Oct. 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and watch local celebrity chefs square off in a pumpkin carving contest. This event will take place during the Fest-of-Ale, which means you can enjoy dinner and a show.
