Thanksgiving is about more than just good food and football, it is also a time to give thanks for everything in your life. This year, you can help feed those who are less fortunate with two great events held on Thanksgiving Day near our condos in Atlanta.
Start off your day right with a little exercise and an opportunity to support a good cause. The Atlanta Half Marathon and Thanksgiving Day 5k is a tradition for thousands of people locally and nationally. In addition to running a course that starts just outside of Turner Field, there will also be a canned food drive to benefit the Salvation Army.
If you’re looking for another way to help those in need, Hosea Feed the Hungry is another excellent Atlanta tradition. Volunteers can help set up for the big day on Wednesday, November 21 at the Georgia World Congress Center, can help prepare the food on Thanksgiving Day at the Dekalb County Jail and/or can serve it up all day long at the Georgia World Congress Center.
After a day of good deeds and good food, be sure to take some time to kick off the holiday season at the 65th Lighting of the Macy’s Great Tree. Festivities will begin at 6:15, and this year’s musical guests will include Trace Adkins, Chris Mann, Chymphonique Miller and more.
Residents of our luxury Atlanta condos can enjoy these great events and others all year long without traveling far from home. Our signature one to three bedroom residences offer a lifestyle like none other.
