Dewberry Market Makes Midtown Healthier
Posted on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011
If you love fresh produce but hate the thought of driving long distances just for a few fruits and vegetables, you’re in luck. Jeff and Matt Bowman of Georgia Farm to Table have recently opened Dewberry Market at the corner of Peachtree and 10th streets.
Dewberry Market sells fresh produce from local farmers to Midtown residents six days a week. It is located in the space formerly occupied by Jock and Jills Sports Grill. The current selection includes corn, eggplant, tomatoes, peaches, peppers, okra and more. The Bowmans plan to offer pumpkins in the fall and Christmas trees in the winter.
For Midtown residents who want to add variety to their diet, the Dewberry Market is a convenient choice. In fact, there are plans in the works to provide free delivery to customers who spend at least $25. If you don’t live near the market, fear not. The brothers plan to open similar stands in several neighborhoods throughout Atlanta.
Have you been to the Dewberry Market? Residents of 1010 Midtown interested in healthy eating should be regular customers. The fresh produce stand is just one more example of the shops and restaurants convenient to this collection of luxury Atlanta condos. After spending time in the state-of-the-art fitness center or going for a morning swim in the sparkling pool, residents can now pick out the quality, locally-grown produce at a moment’s notice.
