If you have yet to hear about Equinox, allow me to describe the gym that has re-invented the industry. Equinox is a high-end, trendy fitness chain, based in New York City, that currently has its eyes set on Midtown Atlanta for a new location. According to real estate brokers, the company is very close to announcing a new location in the Campanile building, but nothing has officially been announced or finalized…yet.
You may not realize it now, but Equinox will be a tremendous addition to Midtown and exemplifies the new wave taking over Midtown Atlanta. Whether you are a resident in Midtown or a commuter that comes to the area to work, Equinox will provide you with a highly sought-after, high-end fitness amenity. Currently, Equinox locations offer members the perks of a pilates studio, lap pool, luxurious locker room, full spa services, group fitness classes, personal trainers, cardio and strength equipment, yoga, kids’ club, juice bar and more. While we do not yet know the specific features that the Atlanta location will offer if it becomes a reality, there is no doubt that it will maintain the integrity and luxurious reputation of Equinox.
Having Equinox even consider Midtown for a new location only reinforces the fact that a new era of Midtown Atlanta is upon us.

The unique lifestyle that 1010 Midtown offers homeowners is coming together as four restaurants have signed leases to be tenants at 1010 Midtown. These restaurants are bringing tastes from all over the world to Peachtree Street - Ri Ra Irish Pub, RA Sushi, Piola and Noon | Midtown. Each restaurant offers a completely different type of cuisine and atmosphere, so homeowners at these new Atlanta condos have a myriad of dining options conveniently located within the same building as their luxury Midtown condos. It’s perks like these four restaurants and Bank of America, who has also signed to have a Midtown branch in 12th & Midtown, that set 1010 Midtown apart from other live/work/play communities. Where most mixed use developments offer a few restaurants and retailers, the 12th & Midtown project has a tremendous amount of square footage for retailers and office space. However, in addition to the retail outlets within 12th & Midtown, residents at 1010 Midtown are also conveniently located to so many Atlanta attractions, like the Fox Theatre, Piedmont Park, the Botanical Gardens, the High Museum of Art, Woodruff Arts Center and so many more. 1010 Midtown combines luxury and convenience so homeowners have the time and opportunity to truly enjoy living in Atlanta.
Here’s a quick summary of the four new restaurants at 1010 Midtown:

An appeal of Midtown that is sometimes overlooked is the fact that there are so many ways for a family to spend quality time together. In fact, if you were living in Midtown, you would probably be more inclined to have regular “family time” due to all of the great family-friendly activities right in your backyard. It is this district of Atlanta that is home to Piedmont Park, the Woodruff Performing Arts Center, the High Museum of Art, Atlanta’s best restaurants and Atlanta’s best shopping (coming soon).
Kevin Sack of the New York Times recently published an article covering a day with his family in Midtown Atlanta. He begins in the morning with breakfast at the Flying Biscuit and ends the day with a trip to Krispy Kreme. You really should

According to an article published by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, all of the hype surrounding the demise in the real estate market has been overly exaggerated. While there are many markets suffering greatly, Atlanta is not one of them. The well known housing bubble that affected Florida, California and Nevada was never anything larger than a tiny little bump in Atlanta. The stable Atlanta real estate market is nothing that you haven’t heard before, but what it means is that once the decline in the market is over and we begin the uphill process of returning to a booming market, Atlanta will bounce back faster than these other markets that were hit harder. Of course, this fact makes perfect sense - if we didn’t fall as far as the rest of the nation, then we don’t have as far to climb. Housing prices are expected to be higher than they were at the peak of the previous cycle in only few short years. The number of inventory homes currently available are going to be absorbed in the coming year due to Atlanta’s economy and job growth. Once these available homes are snapped up, there will be a shift in the supply and demand, causing housing prices to increase. Another aspect of the housing market you should consider is that there is a shift in what is considered a desirable location.

For anyone that is new to Atlanta, you must spend one morning getting a tour of the Fabulous Fox Theatre. The Fox (which is the slang term for Atlanta locals) is one of the only landmarks that has been around since the 1920’s in our new and happening city. It is at the Fox where, on any given night of the week, you will be able to see a top-of-the-charts musician, a Broadway musical, a classic movie, a famous comedian, a beautiful ballet or more. This theater is a nightly source of great entertainment right off of Peachtree Street - just down the street from 1010 Midtown.
That’s right, residents at 1010 Midtown benefit from being only a few blocks away from this historical theater. All of the shows and stars that come to the Fox will be easily accessible from 1010 Midtown, which is only one of the numerous appeals of this live/work/play community. In fact, next week the American favorite “Oklahoma” will be on production at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, and 1010 Midtown has 6 free tickets for Thursday night’s performance. If you have nothing better to do on June 26th, then give the sales center a call at 404-815-4622 to claim these free tickets. It will also give you a great idea of what life at these new Atlanta condos will be like having the Fox just down the street.

The advantages to moving into Atlanta are endless. We are a city that is made up of mostly commuters, those that drive into the city everyday from the suburbs for work purposes and drive back out of the city every evening. We also drive into Atlanta from the suburbs for entertainment purposes like tickets to the Fox or Woodruff Arts Center. Not only is this one of the reasons for the horrible traffic problems in Atlanta, but with the gas prices rising out of control, this way of life is becoming unaffordable. So, what’s a solution? Well, there is of course carpooling or purchasing a more fuel efficient car, but both of those still require you to spend approximately two hours of your day fighting Atlanta traffic. The best solution to beat the gas prices is to relocate into the city. By choosing to reside in a live/work/play community, you will virtually eliminate the need for a car.
If 1010 Midtown is your new place of residence, your commute to work could be nothing more than a 5 minute walk, and the Fox Theater and Woodruff Arts Center are also just a stroll away. For added recreation that is free of charge, virtually across the street from 1010 Midtown is Piedmont Park. Here you can enjoy a romantic picnic with a significant other, go for a nice, energizing run, take a bike ride, play a game of football with friends, take your best friend (meaning your dog) for a long walk or anything. Having Piedmont Park in such close proximity allows for endless opportunities for recreation.
Allow me to further emphasize why living in a live, work, play community is a great option: First off, if you are walking to work and entertainment outlets, you are not using gas, depleting your gas budget exponentially. Second, walking is good for you! This is a great way to help increase your daily activity. Thirdly, you’ll have more time in your day to devote to yourself. If you cut your commute, you could be adding two hours to your day that used to be spent sitting in traffic. Two extra hours everyday can give you enough time to run all of your errands, finish a great book, spend time with your family and more. It’s really time to start

Friday, May 30th is going to be a huge day in box office history as the full length feature film, Sex and the City, is finally released. I am sure movie theaters throughout metro Atlanta have already sold out for the long awaited movie, and fans of the television show have been waiting over four years for the film. With so much demand and hype, it’s no wonder that many of the lifestyle and entertainment publications have run features about the four leading ladies and their characters. Atlanta Peach magazine is no exception, as the May 2008 issue has a feature, “Sex and Our City,” where the major characters of the series are profiled and attributed with local characteristics, i.e. where they shop, what they drive, where they live, which local actor/actress would play the character, etc. Guess where the magazine has the fabulous Carrie Bradshaw living… none other than the new condo development, 1010 Midtown. If you know anything about Sex and the City, then you know Carrie Bradshaw is the always up-to-date

Move-in may not be for a few more months, but homeowners are already giving 1010 Midtown rave reviews. Mr. Randall Mullen recently wrote a letter to the vice-president of regional sales at Daniel Management Corporation, Jason Winburn, thanking him for putting an end to his long search for a better quality of life in Atlanta. Mr. Mullen has been a consultant in city redevelopment for over 15 years, which means he has been able to advise organizations on revitalizing parts of Atlanta and many other cities in the United States. One aspect that other cities always had that Mullen wished Atlanta would develop were live/work/play environments. While there have been many attempts promising an exciting, urban life style, none have actually been able to deliver this way of life. However, when Mullen came across 1010 Midtown, he knew that his dream of a better Downtown quality of life was finally a reality. With 1010 Midtown being only one part of a greater master-planned development, 12th & Midtown, it is centrally located in the midst of the newest and hottest nightlife in Atlanta. “Walking to dinner, taking in the cultural arts or enjoying a run through Piedmont Park will soon become a welcome routine. I can’t wait to experience an improved lifestyle here at home,” said Mullen in his letter to Winburn. If you purchase your new home at 1010 Midtown, this will be your new routine too. So, check out what the buzz is about and improve your lifestyle at these luxury condos in Midtown.
