Atlantan’s can breathe easy knowing that exhale will soon become part of the Midtown Mile. The newest addition to the 12th & Midtown mixed-use development is expected to open in the summer of 2010 and makes living at 1010 Midtown even more enjoyable. Already, STK, CB2, Rira Irish Pub, Noon, Ra Sushi and Piola help make this block of Peachtree Street one of the most sought-after addresses in the city, and the addition of this luxury day spa is just one more attribute to secure that position. exhale will occupy a 22,000 square foot space at the corner of Peachtree and 11th street, next to the Loews Hotel. The second level position gives you a beautiful view overlooking Peachtree Street while enjoying a day at the spa.
Whether looking to spend the day relaxing with facials, massages and other spa treatments or wanting to participate in a proprietary fitness class, exhale is the destination for everything needed to heal or transform your body. Yes, residents at 1010 Midtown do have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio equipment and weight machines, but for those that enjoy group classes, exhale offers core and yoga classes just across the street.
12th & Midtown is delighted to announce that STK is the newest tenant to join the already prestigious list of retailers and restaurants featured in the mixed-use development. As of now, there are four other STK locations nationwide - New York City, Los Angeles and Miami; a Las Vegas restaurant is currently under construction, but that is it. STK is not a chain with multiple restaurants in a myriad of cities across the nation. Dining at STK is a one-of-a-kind experience that Atlantan’s will now be privy to.
In New York and L.A., STK has become a hot spot for A-List celebrities to dine. Their exquisite waistline-conscious menu was designed and executed by Executive Chef Todd Mark Miller and features various innovative seafood creations, steaks, salads and more. The steaks come in three different sizes, a la carte, and are dressed with one of eight rich, homemade sauces - you get to choose the sauce.
We had over 30 participants at the Loews Atlanta Tweet Up, when originally we had said we would only be taking 25 12th & Midtown followers. Many Atlantans were anxiously awaiting the exclusive tour of the luxury new hotel that we were offering, and it was just impossible to keep the cap at 25. Those in attendance were given a detailed tour of the hotel, which included the conference center, restaurant, exhibit hall and guest suites. We couldn’t be happier with the response! All participants chronicled their journey with live updates on Twitter and some even went into more detail after the event by writing a blog post about it. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and @TheGreatDanaJ was our lucky winner of a two night stay at Loews Atlanta.
The 12th & Midtown Loews Tour Tweet Up was such a success, that there was no other option than to host a similar event for the 1010 Midtown condos. Unlike the Loews Tour that took place during lunch, the 1010 Midtown condos tweet up will be a cocktail hour in the evening. What better way to unwind after a long day of work than by enjoying tasty appetizers and refreshing cocktails?
In early 2008, Peachtree Street, between 14th Street and 10th Street, looked like the photo on the left. At this time, Daniel Corporation had only begun construction on their exquisite master-planned development 12th & Midtown. In no time at all, the area would come to be known as the Midtown Mile, featuring upscale boutique shops, fine dining destinations, a luxury Atlanta hotel, first-class office space and elegant condos.
The lucky individuals who invest in the Atlanta condos at 1010 Midtown find themselves in a true live, work, play community. These Midtown condos are within walking distance to most everything Atlanta has to offer. Whether you want restaurants like Oceanaire, Ri Ra Irish Pub, Ra Sushi, Noon and Twist or are looking for entertainment at the High Museum, Piedmont Park, Woodruff Arts Center and the 14th Street Playhouse, you can leave the car at home and reach them on foot.
The Loews Atlanta Hotel, which is part of the master-planned development 12th & Midtown, is expected to open in the Spring of 2010. However, we are offering you the opportunity to take a tour of the luxury hotel before it’s official opening date. If you like to stay up-to-date with the latest openings in Atlanta and are an avid tweeter, then don’t miss the 12th & Midtown Loews Atlanta Hotel Tour Tweet-Up.
Like any Tweet-Up, this is the opportunity to finally meet in person all of those people you have been conversing with in the Twitterverse, including 12th & Midtown (@12thandMidtown). However, there are some additional perks to attending this particular tweet-up. Of course being one of the first to tour Atlanta’s newest hotel is pretty amazing, but, in addition, one lucky participant will win a two-night stay at the exquisite hotel (and hopefully will tell all of us about his/her two-night stay on Twitter).
The Loews first-look event will take place on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
1010 Midtown recently received a Walk Score of 94 out of a possible 100. And, according to the Walk Score definitions, any community receiving a score between 90 and 100 is considered a “Walkers’ Paradise: Most errands can be accomplished on foot and many people get by without owning a car.”
Being able to reside in Atlanta without having to own a car is one of the greatest luxuries a community can offer. A rise in gas prices will have absolutely no effect on you. Plus, without a monthly car payment and insurance, you will have much more money every month to devote to yourself - whether you want to see a musical, pamper yourself at a local spa, try a new restaurant or shop. And, walking to all of your destinations is a much healthier way of life. Simply by completing your daily tasks, you are getting more physical exercise and increasing your daily steps. All in all, it seems life without a car is superb.
12th & Midtown is happy to welcome their latest retailer. CB2 is a Chicago-based home furnishings chain that targets the young and hip with modern furniture and trendy accessories. It is actually an offshoot of Crate and Barrel, and the 12th & Midtown location will be its first Atlanta store.
There’s no secret that with the current state of the economy, CB2 had a variety of options for their first Atlanta store. So, it really is a testament to the exceptional location and vibrant atmosphere of the area that 12th & Midtown was chosen. CB2 is the first major national retailer to commit to the Midtown Mile, and there are only more exciting store openings to come.
The Atlanta CB2 store will be a 14,000 square foot store and is expected to open next summer. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Chicago, CB2 is a modern home furnishings and accessories destination from Crate and Barrel, offering innovative and affordable design solutions for apartment, loft, home and office. From mid-century-inspired accessories to classic barware to contemporary furniture in warm, textured fabrics, CB2 is ideal for urban-dwellers, with many furnishings scaled perfectly to fit small spaces.
