night-concert-thumbThe Green Concert is held annually by Piedmont Park as a means of raising money for the Piedmont Park Conservancy. Previously, elite musical performers such as Paul McCartney and Dave Matthews have graced the lush green haven in the middle of our concrete jungle, and this year’s act provides even more star-power. When dusk falls over the park on October 15, the Eagles will take the stage.

With such a wide audience-base, this concert is sure to draw a crowd of all ages and sell out as well. To experience the concert to its fullest, choose the VIP package. This experience gives concert-goers perks such as front-of-stage viewing, a private hospitality tent with complimentary beer and wine, VIP comfort stations, and a private VIP entrance. Regular tickets are also available for purchase. Visit the Piedmont Park website for ticketing information as well as what can and cannot be brought to the event.

Piedmont Park is one of Atlanta’s premier event venues, and just steps from the luxury Atlanta condo tower of 1010 Midtown. Residents of 1010 Midtown never need to worry about finding parking or navigating traffic to the treasured green space since it’s always just a quick walk or even quicker cab ride away. Not only is the park close by, but so are many great places to enjoy dinner before the show, or a drink after.

Sir Paul McCartney Comes to Piedmont Park

Posted on Thursday, June 25th, 2009

paul_mccartney_on_stage_in_prague1The biggest concert of the summer is taking place directly across from 1010 Midtown at Piedmont Park. Sir Paul McCartney, who is known as the most successful musician and composer in pop music history and wrote the most covered song of all time, is the headliner for this year’s Green Concert. It’s pretty unbelievable that this musical genius is lending his talent to help support the Piedmont Park Conservancy, but it says a lot about his character and devotion to the environment.

Needless to say Atlanta has been buzzing with the news since it was announced earlier this week. At the show, you can expect to hear Sir McCartney take you back through all of the songs that helped make him the icon he is today, which includes popular tunes from the Beatles and Wings.

The show is scheduled for August 15th and tickets are only $79.50. This is an incredible bargain considering tickets to see Sir Paul McCartney were selling for hundreds of dollars last time he came through Atlanta. Proceeds from the event go directly to the conservancy and the 53-acre expansion they have planned for the park as well as on-going maintenance.
