This new way of thinking has lead to an increased number of single individuals in the nation. Well, Forbes recently ranked the 40 largest urbanized areas in the U.S. as to which are the best for singles, and “Hotlanta” came out on top. Each city was analyzed in seven different categories: the city’s “cool factor, cost of living alone, culture, job growth, online dating, nightlife and the number of singles. With these as the deciding factors, there is no wonder why Atlanta was ranked #1. We are a city that attracts many corporations and companies, resulting in one of the highest job growth rates in the nation. Because of this, many young professionals start their careers here – increasing the number of singles. We have a sizzling nightlife that caters to everyone’s taste: amazing restaurants, hip bars and clubs, sporting events, concerts, festivals, plays, museums and more.

The real estate market is LOCAL, and while many markets have experienced a decrease in home value over the last year, Atlanta has not. In fact, many homes are worth more today than they were a year ago, according to AJC writer John Adams.  The fact that Atlanta had an increase in home prices in 2007 is not a commonly accepted piece of information by Atlanta residents.
